Dr. Jay Smith is a retired public school educator who has devoted most of his life to helping young children grow-up to become productive adults. Whether it was teaching students in the classroom, taking students on field trips, or coaching students how to play sports – he has always strived to teach his students to learn to work together and to take care of each other. He and his wife, Marilyn, both grew-up in and still live in San Antonio, Texas. They are blessed to have six grown children and, as of the writing of this book, seven beautiful grandchildren. Each day is a challenge with two very loving, playful, and stubborn Chihuahuas. These four-legged sisters have the run of the house, enjoy their pink blanket time on the couch, and can melt your heart with their antics. It is hoped that you have enjoyed reading about their real-life stories in “The Adventures of Chewy the Chihuahua and her sidekick Cupcake”. The inspiration for the writing of this real-life Adventure Story came from the desire to help other less fortunate Chihuahuas find good homes. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of “The Adventures of Chewy the Chihuahua and her sidekick Cupcake” go to help support the Texas Chihuahua Rescue, Inc. (TXCR) also located in San Antonio, Texas. The TXCR is a Nonprofit Organization dedicated to “helping small dogs live big dreams”.
